Elaine is a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a member of the Canadian Psychological Association and The Canadian Counselling

and Psychotherapy Association. With over 20 years of experience working within the fields of mental health and education, she offers a trauma-informed, personalized approach to treating her clients and creating a strong therapeutic alliance.

Elaine specializes with youth, families and adults with varying complexities and vulnerabilities that include diverse socio-emotional concerns, depression, anxiety, gender identity, challenges with substances, academic concerns, peer and family relationship concerns, and trauma-related disorders. Her passion is reflected by years of a professional career dedicated to offering support to individuals and families on their unique journey to healing and improved quality of life.

In taking a collaborative and humanistic/compassion-focused approach, Elaine practices from a place of humility and ensures her work is culturally aware, client-centered, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed; lenses that she instills in both her professional and personal life.

Guided by the unique needs of each individual, Elaine often draws from a variety of counselling modalities; incorporating elements of dialectical behaviour therapy, cranial electrical stimulation therapy, accelerated resolution therapy, narrative practice, solution-focused techniques, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and emotion focused therapy into her practice.

Elaine is available weekdays, evenings and weekends for phone and video sessions. Elaine offers in-person appointments out of Calgary and Sherwood Park.
